It’s hard to represent wood using metal.

Today I had a go at spot welding which is a simple process used to join two pieces of metal, it is a lot more efficient than soldering. So much less mess and hardly any tools are needed.
The piece I created was taken from inspiration found at the National Museum here in Cardiff where we took a trip to find inspiring art works. I like the use of multiples and similarities of shapes within an artefact. Originally this was going to be a two dimensional “drawing” in steel, but thankfully it stands, although a little wobbly. Mostly unfinished but I enjoy the raw feel to the object.
